In this post we’ll have a look at a 1917 Norway 10 Ore Coin which can be seen in the pictures below. On the front side of its appears an image of monogram with a royal crown on top. Also there is lettering that appears to say Alt for Norge whose meaning is all for Norway. This 10 ore coin is 0.40 fine or in orders 40% silver and has a weight of 1.45 grams. There were 5.95 million of these made in 1917. The king in Norway at the time this coin was made was Haakon VII who was actually an elected monarch. He is thought highly of particularly because of his resistance to the German invasion of his country during WWII. The reverse side of this coin has the country’s name, denomination and the year in which it was struck.
This 1917 Norway 10 Ore Coin has seen circulation and its grade is perhaps fine.
