In this posting we’ll have a look at a 1933 New Zealand Sixpence Coin. On the front is an effigy of King George V facing to the left and to the right it says emperor. This coin is made of 50 percent silver and there were three million of these produced in the year 1933.
Now take a look at the reverse which is below.
It has an image of a Huia which was a bird that existed only in New Zealand. It became extinct last century. The female Huia had a distinct long beak. Also on the back of this coin is the name of its country as well as the denomination and year.
The grade of this 1933 New Zealand Sixpence Coin may be a very good grade.
