The post here will discuss a 1951 Switzerland 5 Franken Banknote. On its obverse is written at the top: Schweizerische Nationalbank (Swiss National Bank). Below that is this old paper money’s denomination in 3 languages: Funf Franken (German), Cinq Francs (French) and Cinque Franchi (Italian). There is a picture to the left hand side of William Tell, a folk hero of Switzerland from the 1300s. The reverse side of this note has the denomination surrounded by Schweizerische Nationalbank and Banque Nationale Suisse Banca Nazionale Svizzera which Swiss National Bank in 3 languages (German, French and Italian).
Our 1951 Switzerland 5 Franken Banknote has some serious folds and has seen a lot of circulation. The grade is perhaps very good.
