The money originating from Panama (though the USD is also an official currency there) is known as the Balboa (symbol PAB). It is named after Vasco Nunez De Balboa who was from Spain and notably made it to the Pacific Ocean from North America before any other European. In any case he considered an explorer as well as a conquistador.
Below we have a 1968 Panama ¼ quarter (cvarto de) Balboa coin. There were 1.2 million struck of these in that year. Even though it is silver in color its make up is copper with nickel+copper coating. It features Vasco Nunez De Balboa on its front and on its back is the coat of arms of Panama. Its condition appears to be very fine.
