The money of the country Ecuador at one time was known as the Sucre. It was printed for 116 years ending in the year 2000. This country now uses the United States Dollar for its currency.
In the pictures following one will find a 1988 cinco (five in English) Sucres bank note. On its obverse is an image of Antonio Jose de Sucre (a notable figure in the independence movement of South America against Spain). This paper bill has the date of when it was printed: Noviembre 22 de 1988 and the name of the capital Quito. The words Banco Central Del Ecuador are found at the top and its serial number is 09138073 below which are the number denomination surrounded by colorful patterns. The back side of this money is has the countries arms on it and it red in color. This Ecuadorian paper currency note is in uncirculated condition.
